Be very afriad

Every day I am afraid.

When I walk alone I walk

In fear and feeling betrayed.

When I’m alone I’m scared

Of the man dressed all in black

Who might be following me.

Maybe someone will put me in a sack

Or grab me from behind and take me away

After reading the news all men scare me.

Maybe they have good intentions

But I will not stick around to see

And I know good people are asking

Why do you assume all of us are bad?

Why do your steps quicken when you see me?

But society says we are at fault

For trusting you.

So whenever I go out

I must remind myself

What I don’t what to think about

Always, be very afraid.
