Poem in response to No Poverty

We live in a bubble,

Gilded with gold.

We can’t see the trouble,

The sorrow untold.

But what lies behind your daily routine?

The paupers will starve, you’ll eat like a queen.

But if, someday, you lose your wealth,

And into ruin falls your health…

For those who have too much to offer,

When the well’s dry, we know the worth of water.
